Ivy Reed is a senior at the University of Missouri majoring in journalism and women and gender studies. She has previously covered healthcare and higher education at The Columbia Missourian, reported for Columbia’s NPR member station KBIA, and worked in abolitionist organizing in her hometown of St. Louis. Reed’s interests lie at the intersection of storytelling, solidarity journalism, and community organizing. Outside of the Watchdog Writers Group, she works on feminist media research with Dr. Joy Jenkins of the journalism school, DJs for student radio, and studies creative writing and Spanish.
