Cianna Morales, originally from Des Moines, Iowa, is a graduate student at the University of Missouri studying investigative reporting and photojournalism. Cianna’s reporting interests center on health and the environment; arts and culture; and social justice. When they’re not in the Columbia Missourian newsroom working as an assistant city editor, Cianna reads, cooks, and attempts to roller skate.
Morales is working with Shoshana Walter to investigate the shrouded rehab industry that has grown up around America’s opioid epidemic.
