Cayli Yanagida is now a multimedia journalist with the TV news station Ozarks First in Springfield, Missouri. She graduated from the University of Missouri in May 2026 with a master’s degree in Journalism with an emphasis in cross-platform editing and producing. She has worked with all five of the Missouri News Network outlets in Columbia, as well as regional outlets like The Olympian and The Kansas City Star and local independent news outlets such as the Houston Herald and Springfield Business Journal. Her interest area is in the arts and culture scene of rural communities.
