Anna Colletto

Anna Colletto was Caleb Gayle’s student researcher for his work on “Black Moses.”

After her time with WWG, Colletto became a founding reporter at the Tulsa Flyer, a new nonprofit newsroom in Oklahoma. She writes about Tulsa’s schools and families, breaking stories on preschool suspensions, rising rates of youth homelessness, new city initiatives for youth and more.

Colletto’s work with Gayle prepared her for a job of records requests, municipal funding analysis and finding people at the center of systemic problems. WWG also brought her to Tulsa. Anna was interviewing Oklahomans two years before it became her new state, and was connected with her dream job by Gayle, Ted Genoways, Mya Frazier and Christopher Leonard.
