The Watchdog Writers Group class of 2026-2027 will be announced in April 2026. 

The application portal for the 2027-2028 Watchdog Writers Group fellows will open March 1, 2027.

Apply to become a 2026-2027  reporter

Register for a webinar about the benefits of joining WWG. The webinar on March 16 at 4:15 p.m. CST will feature Program Director Mya Frazier and former student researcher Egan Ward. Egan worked with a WWG fellow his senior year and even produced his own investigation for Investigate Midwest. He’ll talk about his experience with WWG and how it helped him build essential reporting skills and land a job after graduation.
