Shoshana Walter

Shoshana Walter is an investigative reporter at The Marshall Project. Her investigative reporting has prompted new laws and congressional and criminal investigations, and has been honored with the Livingston Award, the Knight Award for Public Service, the IRE medal, and as a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and National Magazine Awards.

During her time with the WWG, Walter worked on “Rehab: An American Scandal” (Simon & Schuster, 2025), which examines drug rehab treatment programs across the country. The book follows four people, all with completely different backgrounds, as they experienced what Walter calls a broken rehab system that left them worse off than when they started.
